NBA: Nets PG Ben Simmons Over 15.5 Rebounds + Assists vs. Spurs (-113)
While foul trouble limited his playing time, we got a glimpse of what life without Kevin Durant will look like for the Nets when Ben Simmons logged zero points, nine rebounds and 13 rebounds against the Celtics last Thursday.
He was scratched with some back soreness in Brooklyn’s last game, but it’s very clear that Simmons’ role is going to be to create offense through his facilitation efforts and to crash the glass more than usual. Simmons has developed an ability to hand the ball off to a teammate while setting a screen, which is something Boston’s defense had a hard time dealing with. He should have a field day against San Antonio and I like the idea of attacking his rebounds and assists while leaving his scoring completely out of the picture.

WTA: Olivia Gadecki Over 6.5 Total Games Won vs. Marta Kostyuk (-130)
Olivia Gadecki’s mentor is Australian tennis legend Ash Barty and the 20-year-old Aussie kicked off her first Grand Slam appearance with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Polina Kudermetova in the first round. Gadecki will undoubtedly be a hugely popular player in her home country.
As a huge +460 underdog against Marta Kostyuk in this match, BetQL is projecting her to not only keep things tight, but to win outright. Her total games won prop is at just 6.5 and we’re giving her -210 odds (a 67.82% chance) to win the match outright. Since an outright win would require a minimum of 12 games won (without a retirement), the model expects her to easily get over this total games won mark and I'm all over this.
NCAAB: Kansas PF K.J. Adams Jr. Over 11.5 Points vs. Kansas State (-120)
K.J. Adams Jr. has scored no fewer than 14 points in his last five games, all of which came against Big Ten opponents. As someone who has scored in double-figures 10 consecutive times, this stands out to me as the best college hoops player prop value of the day against a KSU team that just allowed 82 points to TCU.

ATP: Taro Daniel Over 14.5 Total Games Won vs. Denis Shapovalov (-110)
Like Gadecki, Daniel is a huge underdog (+387) that we project to win outright. BetQL is giving him -119 odds ( a 54.5% chance) to win this match outright, which suggests that he would win a minimum of 18 games (without a retirement). Therefore, backing over 14.5 total games won jumps out as a very safe bet with some solid upside at these odds.
NHL: Flyers C Kevin Hayes Over 2.5 Shots On Goal vs. Ducks (-120)
The Ducks have allowed an NHL-high 38.95 shots per game to opposing teams (next highest: 35.28), so I’m going to go right back to the well and target someone on the other squad once again. Hayes has gone over 2.5 shots on goal in four of his last five starts and this isn’t juiced up as much as it should be.
