NFL Betting Line Movement

NFL line movement is one of the most important aspects of NFL betting. Line movement occurs when money comes in on one side or another in an NFL game. These bets can be on the NFL spread, the NFL money line, the NFL total (or the NFL over-under), NFL first half money line, NFL first half spread, and the NFL first half total. The line movement is tracked from where the line started - otherwise known as the “open” - to where the line either currently sits or where it finishes; known as the “close”.

Tracking NFL line movement can be very difficult to do on your own, but thankfully BetQL makes it very simple to track up to the minutes line movements for the NFL spread, NFL money line, NFL over/under, NFL first half money line, NFL first half spread, and NFL first half over/under bets. NFL Line movement also occurs in all types of NFL second half bets including; NFL second half spreads, NFL second half money line, and NFL second half over/under bets.

The major difference between NFL first half line movement and NFL second half line movement is that the time frame for line movement to occur is much shorter and thus the amount that the various lines will move is likely to be less in NFL second half line movement compared to NFL first half line movement.
