He struck out zero, and threw just 40 of 71 pitches for strikes. Needless to say, he’s been bad for a while now. However, he gets a Nats lineup that was shut out yesterday.

The total for this game is sitting at 9 runs right now, and the Blue Jays are the underdog in this game. That leads me to believe the Angels might put up some runs here on Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt. Once a very dependable starter for the Athletics and Mets, things have started to go downhill for the pitcher. In his first start of the season against the Cardinals, he allowed nine runs on 10 hits in just 3.1 innings, and didn’t strike out a single batter.

Bassitt also posted a 5.60 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 17.2 innings over five appearances during spring training this year. This looks like great value at even-money on DK.
