The Dodgers have been hit, and hit hard, with the injury bug this week, as it has sidelined two of their stars.
First, right-handed pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto was placed on the 15-day IL with a rotator cuff injury. And then Mookie Betts of all guys was hit by a pitch on Sunday and broke his left wrist.
So we're talking about some consequential losses here. Ones that could affect individual and team futures.

These injuries certainly have impacted awards odds for both of them. Betts is now at +2500 after he was the favorite to win this before his injury. Now his Dodgers teammate Shohei Ohtani has been catapulted to the top of the odds chart as the favorite at +185. He was at +425 as of Wednesday.
As for Yamamoto, his NL Rookie of the Year odds are now at +3000 at BetMGM. His odds for the award opened at +180, so those certainly have moved.
If you were betting props on Betts and Yamamoto day to day and are now looking for other Dodgers bets to place, never fear because Shohei Ohtani is here.
For example, I'm betting on Ohtani over 2.5 total bases tonight and his home run prop is always worth a look. Freddie Freeman is another player to look at when it comes to player props, as is Will Smith.
When it comes to Dodgers World Series odds, the team hasn't been very affected by these injuries. They're still favored to win it all at +300.
So when it comes to the awards market for Betts and Yamamoto, those bets are questionable right now, but these injuries don't seem to be a reason to stop betting on the Dodgers.
