NBA Public Bet: Suns ATS vs. Kings
The public is still fading the Kings, which they do quite often for some reason. The only reason I can think of is that Sacramento has a history of losing, so people must still have it in their minds that the Kings stink and must be overrated. This is a team that is almost 10 games over .500, so maybe it is time that you started to take the Kings a bit more seriously. A whopping 73% of total tickets in this game are backing the Suns tonight at home.
Phoenix doensn't have Kevin Durant in the lineup yet, so it is still missing some key pieces. The Kings have won three of their last five games, and they lost by just five points the first time these two teams met. I figure this one will be a really close one, but Sacramento will be looking to even the season series. With all that money on the Suns, perhaps the Kings are valuable tonight.

College Basketball Public Bet: Georgia ATS vs. LSU
We actually have a pretty good college basketball slate today, but the public has decided to go with a game that is outside the ranked matches tonight. A whopping 86% of the tickets in this game are on the Georgia Bulldogs, and that is very unsurprising. LSU is 12-13 on the season and has lost five straight games, while Georgia is 15-10 on the year and coming off of a win against Kentucky. That will immediately trigger a public bet, as the recency bias is real.
It is a little odd that Georgia isn't a larger favorite at home against a Tigers team that has lost so many in a row, but the public couldn't care less about that. Georgia just beat Kentucky and now is at home against a team that has lost five straight. In the eyes of the common fan, that means that Georgia is a guaranteed winner. That's also why, over time, Vegas will always win unless you know what you are doing.

NHL Public Bet: Islanders ML vs. Senators
The public is also betting on the Calgary Flames as massive -200 favorites at home against the Ottawa Senators. This is a prime example of why the public is a long-term loser. I could not imagine laying a -200 ML with any team ever, as that is far too much juice to be paying, especially on a hockey game where there is a ton of variance and upsets. No, thanks, I'll take the better team at plus-money.
As of this writing, a massive 89% of all the moneyline bets are on the Islanders to win. I mentioned this game in today's NHL Betting Guide as some of the best value on the board tonight. Sure, the Senators are on a back-to-back, but the Islanders should never be laying -200 against anyone. They have a negative shot differential and frequently get outplayed, despite their winning record. Meanwhile, Ottawa is outshooting opponents on average 33.4 to 32.0 each night.
