NBA Sharp Bet: Trail Blazers ATS vs. Wizards

The sharps are going with the Portland Trail Blazers in tonight's NBA action against the Washington Wizards. A whopping 85% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Trail Blazers ATS, but just 59% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 15% of the money is on the Wizards ATS but a huge 41% of bets are on that side. That gives us a pretty decent sized 26% "Pro-money advantage" on the Trail Blazers, but subtracting the the bet% from the money%.

Tickets on the Trail Blazers are worth more money overall than those on the Wizards, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move in favor of the Trail Blazers as well, showing that the respected money is on their side in this matchup.

The Wizards have lost three of their last four games, and they will be on a back-to-back here on the road against the Trail Blazers. Portland is also playing its second straight game, but is at home, where it has played for four straight games. It's clear the sharps are liking the Blazers tonight to get to .500 on the season.

College Basketball Sharp Bet: DePaul ATS vs. St. John's

We actually have a pretty good college basketball slate today, which is a shame that a lot of us will be out tonight and can't watch. However, we can still bet on it, and the sharps have taken some strong stances tonight on this diverse slate. St. John's is traveling to DePaul tonight, and we are already seeing a pretty large edge here tonight on the Blue Demons in this Big East matchup.

A huge 85% of the money is on the Blue Demons here, but just 48% of the total tickets are on that side. That means that those tickets are very expensive, and a whole lot of high-rollers are laying down wads of cash on that side of the aisle. In contrast, only about 15% of the money has been wagered on the Red Storm as of this writing, but 52% of tickets have been placed taking them to cover. That means those tickets are being placed by the public. That gives us a 37% pro-money advantage on the Blue Demons, making them the sharp side tonight.

The Red Storm are coming off a massive upset of Providence and are 15-11, so why are they just 1-point favorites against 9-16 DePaul?

NHL Sharp Bet: Sharks ML vs. Penguins

In comparison, 9% of the money is liking the Penguins to cover in the game, but 67% of tickets are riding with that side. That means that the tickets that are worth a substantially higher amount of money are siding with the Sharks in the game, as 91% of the money wagered is on 33% of the tickets placed.

As I mentioned earlier, the Penguins give up a massive amount of offensive pressure on their net. They give up 33.9 shots on goal per game, which is more than they are taking themselves, so they have a negative shot differential. They barely have a positive goal differential, scoring 3.23 goals per game and allowing 3.12. They are overrated, and even though the Sharks are not very good, they certainly can defeat Pittsburgh here.
