The Brooklyn Nets (34-28 SU, 31-30-1 ATS, 29-32 O/U) wrap up a quick two-game road trip with a matchup tonight against the Boston Celtics (45-18 SU, 32-29-2 ATS, 30-30 O/U).
The game presents a matchup between one of the best offensive teams in the league going up against one of the worst defensive teams. The Celtics are averaging 119.2 points over their last 10 home games, which is exactly where their team total sits for tonight. Add in the fact that they’re facing a Nets team that’s giving up 134.0 points on the road since Kyrie Irving requested a trade, and Boston should be able to dominate on the offensive end tonight. Plus, the Celtics have gone over their team total in seven of their last 10 home games and in each of their last three, according to EV Analytics. Expect a big night in Beantown!
My Pick: Celtics team total o119.5
The Charlotte Hornets (20-44 SU, 27-35-2 ATS, 28-36 O/U) wrap up a lengthy homestand tonight when they welcome the Orland Magic (26-337 SU, 34-28-1 ATS, 29-33 O/U).
The Magic have beaten the Hornets in two of their three meetings this season, and the Magic dominated in the paint and on the boards in those games. The one game that Charlotte won, Mason Plumlee had a big night. Unfortunately for the Hornets, Plumlee is no longer on the team, which gives Orlando the advantage in the frontcourt. Take LaMelo Ball out of the equation, too, and I’m not sure the Hornets are going to be able to win many more games, even against a developing team like the Magic. The only advantage Charlotte has in this game is that this is Orlando’s third straight road game, but that still isn’t enough for me to take the home team, so lay the points with the Magic. This number is on the move though, so head over to Caesars for the best number at -4 and enjoy a nice sign up offer!
My Pick: Magic -4
The Portland Trail Blazers (29-33 SY, 30-30-2 ATS, 30-30 O/U) start a six-game road trip with a game against the Atlanta Hawks (31-31 SU, 26-35-1 ATS, 34-38 O/U) tonight.
Saying that the Blazers have struggled on the road lately is an understatement. They’re 5-12 both SU and ATS away from home since the beginning of December. Their offense ranks in the bottom half of the league over their last five road games, while their defense is second to last. They’ve had to rely heavily on Damian Lillard while dealing with injuries lately, so unless he has another 70-point game, it’s going to be tough for Portland to keep up with Atlanta’s offense. The Hawks are finally healthy and the drama from Nate McMillan’s firing has subsided. Atlanta is primed for a winning run. This number is also on the move, but once again, Caesars has the best number as of this writing!
My pick: Hawks -7
