Kate Constable: Ball State ML vs. Toledo (+152, Caesars)
Ball State is coming off a disappointing loss to Akron in which the Cardinals led the entire game before the Zips took over with six minutes to go. The Cardinals let that game slip away from them and they know it. Tonight they have an opportunity to get back on track and gain some momentum heading into the MAC tournament with a win against Toledo, which is the top team in the conference. Ball State beat Toledo on the road earlier this season, so it knows its capable of hanging with this team. Plus, a win for the Rockets tonight would clinch the MAC title and the Cardinals would love to play spoiler. Ball State is also 6-1 ATS in its last seven home games against Toledo. Dan Karpuc: Grizzlies ML at Nuggets (+170, BetRivers)
In the only other meeting between these two teams this season, Memphis earned a 112-94 blowout win on their home floor on Feb. 25. This rematch will be in Denver, where the Nuggets have been dominant this year, but there are some matchup-based issues that have come to light this year seemingly more than ever in the NBA. (Take the Magic dominating the Celtics as the most extreme example.) In the first meeting between these teams, Memphis deployed a variety of defenders in an attempt to limit Nikola Jokic. They started the bulky Xavier Tillman Sr., who held his own on the low block. They have swat-artist Jaren Jackson Jr., who is going to win the Defensive Player of the Year honor. Brandon Clarke is another frontcourt piece that brings length and athleticism. That threesome in the frontcourt will be very important in containing Jokic, so give me the Grizz to steal the upset win on the road for the best price at BetRivers!
Brad Pinkerton: Blazers ML at Hawks (+240, BetMGM)
I don't think Atlanta deserves to be such a huge favorite against the Blazers, even at home. Apparently the sharps agree, as huge money has been coming in on the Blazers moneyline early. There's really not that much separating these two teams, and Portland beat Atlanta, 129-125, at home on Jan. 30. I'll take a shot on Dame Lillard and Co. pulling the road upset here at this price at BetMGM, and you should definitely take advantage of their welcome offer too!
Lucy Burdge: Pelicans ML vs. Warriors (+155, Bet365)
The Pelicans are coming off of a win at Portland, and have won five of their last 10 games, so they’re not completely hopeless. The Pelicans have also won the last two matchups against the Warriors and four of the last seven, so I think the Pelicans can pull off the upset here and you can get this at +155 at Bet365!
