Burdge: What I'm Betting on Monday, June 12

Phillies' Kyle Schwarber HR at Diamondbacks (+280, FanDuel)

Schwarber has four home runs in his last seven games and 17 total home runs this season. He and the Phillies will be facing Tommy Henry and the Diamondbacks today, which is great news for him because Schwarber has two hits, including a homer, against Henry in five career at-bats. So I think this is a great spot for him to hit another one out tonight.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani o0.5 HRs at Rangers (+340, FanDuel)

Ohtani has hit two home runs in his last three games, three home runs in his last seven games and six in his last 15. He has faced Rangers starter Dane Dunning in 20 at-bats so far in his career and in those at-bats he has four hits, including a double and a triple. And in his last start on June 6, Dane Dunning gave up three home runs, the only three he has given up this season. So I think Ohtani can hit one out against Dunning in this one. 

Red Sox SP James Paxton o7.5 Ks vs. Rockies (-115, DraftKings)

Paxton has hit this over in three of his five starts this season, including nine in his last start and eight in the start before that. He also had eight in his first start in May against the Cardinals. The Rockies are in the top half of the league in Ks and have a strikeout rate of 28.6% in their last three games, which is the fourth-highest in the league. Paxton has also hit this over twice at home, and I think he will do it once again at Fenway.

Marlins Jorge Soler o1.5 total bases at Mariners (+110, FanDuel)

Soler has been on a tear recently with six hits in his last two games, including two home runs on Sunday. He had 10 total bases in that game and three in the previous game. Bryce Miller will be starting for the Mariners and in his last two starts, he’s given up 19 hits with a 27.00 ERA. So I think there’s a great chance Soler can go over on total bases today.
