Kate Constable: Reds' Elly De La Cruz to win NL Rookie of the Year (+280, FanDuel)

Arizona's Corbin Carroll deserves to be the favorite for NL Rookie of the Year, but Elly De La Cruz isn’t far behind. De La Cruz has only played in 30 games compared to Carroll, who has played the entire first half of the season, but DLC's numbers throughout that short amount of time are certainly MVP-worthy. He’s hitting .325, with 41 hits, 28 runs and 16 stolen bases.

De La Cruz also might be the most electrifying player in the league. His first MLB home run was the Reds' hardest hit in several years. He’s hit for the cycle and just stole all three bases in the span of two pitches. He is a walking highlight reel every time he takes the field.

Carroll also hurt his shoulder last week and while he’s already back in the lineup and the Diamondbacks have said it isn’t serious, it could be something that limits Carroll in the second half of the season. If that happens, De La Cruz is going to cruise to the top of the NL ROTY odds race.

Lucy Burdge: Guardians to win AL Central (+150, Caesars)

The AL Central is terrible this season, but I think the Guardians will prevail over the Twins in the end. Cleveland ended the first half with a 45-45 record, while the Twins are right behind them at 45-46. I think the Guardians will pull away in the second half of the season to claim the division crown, so I would take them at solid plus-money now before their odds start shrinking. This is my favorite MLB future heading into the All-Star break, and you can get the best odds at Caesars!

Brad Pinkerton: Dodgers to win World Series (+550, Caesars)

Caesars is offering a great promo at the All-Star break, giving you $25 bonus bet if you bet $50 on a World Series outright winner. While +550 isn't a particularly attractive price for a World Series winner, it's the best market price on the Dodgers, who certainly have the talent to win it all (and I'm definitely not settling for just +350 on the Braves). If you wanted to stretch for longer odds, I like the Phillies (+2500) to show some second-half magic again, but that could also be a good spot for that $25 bonus bet.

Matt Horner: Mariners to win World Series (+6000, BetRivers)

My favorite longshot bet at the halfway point is on Seattle to win the World Series. The Mariners have been quite average in the first half of the season record-wise, sitting at 45-44, but they have a lot of things going for them that could make their stock rise.

First off, I love their pitching rotation. Luis Castillo, Logan Gilbert, George Kirby and Bryan Woo have been pitching very well, and all have xERAs below 4.00. The Mariners also own the sixth-best bullpen in baseball with a 3.33 ERA.

The M's sit just four games out of the wild-card spot at the break, and six games behind Texas for the division lead. All they need is a boost on offense, which has been their weakest link for certain, but they have some dangerous bats in the lineup. Despite the offensive struggles, they still have a +36 run differential, which is fifth-best in the AL. They could also make some moves at the trade deadline that can help them even further, so Seattle is definitely worth a sprinkle at +6000 on BetRivers.
