Another NFL season is in the books, and after the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl yet again, we now will shift our focus to the 2024 NFL season and the odds to win Super Bowl 59. It was certainly a fun game between the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, but neither team getting there was a shock. They were both among the favorites all season to make it there in what was one of the most public and unsurprising NFL seasons in recent memory.
Super Bowl LIX will be held in New Orleans, and everyone will be looking ahead to see if they can find some value early in the market as to who could win the championship next year. It can be very hard to do before any of the offseason activities take place, but we can still find some good value.
BetQL will have you covered the entirety of the offseason to keep you in the know on our favorite value picks and futures for the Draft and upcoming season. Let's take a look at a way-too-early value bet right now to win Super Bowl LIX.

Oh, I know exactly what you are thinking. "Here's another clown picking the Jets to win the Super Bowl when there is no evidence of them ever being competitive enough to even make the playoffs." Well, that is true. New York has been bad for a very long time and hasn't made the playoffs in over a decade. The fans there have been plagued by some of the most incompetent and mediocre management in sports, and it is long past due for them to at least taste what it feels like to be part of playoff football again.
Before you throw your stones and light your torches, at least hear me out with a couple of points that I want to make as to why it isn't completely out of the question that the Jets could make a Super Bowl run in 2024. Also, be aware that this is a "way-too-early" bet, meaning that we don't know anything about what this team could look like Week 1. We can still make predictions, however, and find some early value.
My question is: Have we forgotten who is the actual starting quarterback of the Jets? You might have since he played about three downs before he was out for the 2023 season. Aaron Rodgers won an MVP the last time he played a full season of football, and if he had not torn his Achilles in Week 1, we don't know what could have happened for the Jets.
What we do know is what the team was last season without him. The Jets, with Zach Wilson at QB for the majority of the season, managed to go 7-10 and remain at least somewhat competitive in most of their games. Wilson is one of the worst QBs in the NFL, and was benched for Tim Boyle, who threw more interceptions than touchdowns in college. That's how bad the QB situation was for this team with Rodgers sidelined.
I think managing seven wins with those two QBs leading the charge is impressive. We know how talented this New York defense is, and it kept the team in many games last season despite a horrible offense. I expect the defense to still be good next season, and if Rodgers is healthy, this team could make the playoffs.
I know Rodgers is 40 and should be declining at this point, but I still think he has something to prove, and I think he has a year or two of elite play left in his arm.
I am also thinking ahead here as to what the Jets might do this offseason to improve the team. The trade for Rodgers was a signal that they are all-in, so I expect them to make some moves here to help him out. The offensive line is not good, so some focus should be sent in that direction. Don't rule out a big trade either for a superstar-level player. There will be plenty of options for this team.
At 25/1, I think it is worth a dart throw before the offseason begins on this team. I trust Rodgers to come back healthy, and just having him behind center for a team that won seven games last year makes me think they can at least push for the playoffs.
