NBA Public Bet: Celtics ATS vs. Pistons

The public is riding with the best team in the NBA against the worst team in the NBA. I know how shocked you must be. This was a given to be the biggest public bet of the day, but in all fairness, the line has also moved in the Celtics' favor, so we don't have any reverse line movement. A whopping 70% of total tickets in this game are backing the Celtics tonight at home to destroy the Pistons, even if Boston might still be shorthanded.

Boston has won four of its last five games and is coming off a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks without Jayson Tatum and many, many others in the lineup. That means Tatum and Co. will be fresh here tonight against the lowly Pistons, who have lost four of their last five games. Boston is 3-0 so far against Detroit, but has covered this number in just one of those wins.

College Basketball Public Bet: Albany ATS vs. UMBC

We actually have a pretty good college basketball slate today, but the public has decided to go with a game that is outside the ranked matches tonight. A whopping 91% of the tickets in this game are on the Albany Great Danes, and I have zero idea why that is the case. The public is fading a -7 favorite that just so happens to be the school that upset No. 1-seed Virginia years ago as a 16-seed. The public usually loves those teams, even though they are totally different from the team that made them famous.

Like I said, I am very surprised that the Great Danes have this many tickets on them. If you want to fade the public however, perhaps UMBC is the play tonight at -7. The line hasn't moved all day despite all of these tickets on the Great Danes in the battle of the dogs.

NHL Public Bet: Lightning ML at Coyotes

I mean, the Lightning will probably win this game but there is no way I would ever lay -250 on a single hockey game like the public often seems to want to do. They are the far better team here, and they should take care of the Coyotes, but maybe back them at -1.5 for a better price. No need to lay this much juice, but juice doesn't matter to most people.

As of this writing, a massive 92% of all the moneyline bets are on the Lightning to win. They are scoring 3.57 goals per game and allowing 2.93. They are outshooting their opponents 32.1 to 31.5, so this is a very good hockey team overall. Arizona is allowing 3.50 goals per game and scoring just 2.67 of their own. In terms of shots, it has been terrible, where opponents have dominated them 35.0 to 25.8.
