Monday we had a sweeper for +3.65 units, and yesterday, we go 1-1 with Senators +178, which kept us in the green despite the Florida Panthers having another stinker against the awful St. Louis Blues. Blackhawks at Maple Leafs Prediction

The Rivalry Wednesday slate today is large, so let's get right into it with some great value on the ice. The Chicago Blackhawks will be traveling up to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs, and this couldn't be a more lopsided matchup. Chicago has been the worst team in the NHL, a total disaster in all three phases of the game. They have one of the largest goal and shot differentials in the league. The Blackhawks are scoring 2.40 goals per game and allowing 3.62. They are being outshot on average 33.5 to 26.6 each night. It doesn't get much worse.

The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, have been one of the NHL's premier squads all season long. Toronto is scoring 3.35 goals per game and allowing just 2.65, while also outshooting opponents 32.0 to 29.0 on average each night.

MY PICK: Maple Leafs -2.5 (-110, BetMGM). Normally, I would never lay this many goals, but this has every look of a total blowout. The Blackhawks just lost 4-0 last night to the Canadiens, and now they are on a back-to-back against a far superior team. I can't even take the -1.5 because that is juiced to the moon, but you can get a nice -110 price for Leafs -2.5 at BetMGM (and take advantage of the signup bonus as well). Expect total destruction here.

Avalanche at Wild Prediction

For our second game of the night, let's head over to Minnesota, where we see the Colorado Avalanche traveling to take on the Wild. The Avs haven't been as dominant as they were last season when they won the Stanley Cup, but this is still a good hockey team that shouldn't be overlooked. They are scoring 3.00 goals per game and allowing 2.77. Colorado is also outshooting opponents 33.6 to 32.3 on average. This is a dangerous offense that has had trouble scoring the puck for a team that is taking as many shots as it is. I think positive progression should come eventually.

The Wild are also a good team with high hopes this season, and another team that is just not scoring as many goals as it should. Minnesota is scoring just 2.91 goals per game and allowing 2.85. However, it is outshooting opponents 31.2 to 30.4.

MY PICK: Avalanche +120 (DraftKings). These are two teams that I like and think can certainly make some noise come playoff time, but I'll take the plus-money with Colorado instead of laying money. Either team could win here, as I think it's a pretty even matchup, but the value lies with the Avalanche, especially at DraftKings, which has the best price and a fantastic signup offer below (you could be the Avs for free tonight)!
