NBA Sharp Bet: 76ers ATS vs. Cavaliers

The sharps are going with the Philadelphia 76ers in tonight's NBA action against the Cleveland Cavaliers. A whopping 81% of the total money wagered on the game is on the 76ers ATS, but just 59% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 19% of the money is on the Cavaliers ATS but a huge 41% of bets are on that side. That gives us a pretty decent sized 22% "Pro-money advantage" on the Trail Blazers, but subtracting the bet% from the money%.

Tickets on the 76ers are worth more money overall than those on the Cavaliers, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move in favor of the 76ers as well, showing that the respected money is on their side in this matchup.

The Cavaliers have won five straight games and have looked great in the process. Philadelphia has won three straight heading into this one, so it should be a great matchup. However, our data is clear when it says the sharps are on the 76ers, so we are riding with them here.

College Basketball Sharp Bet: Evansville ATS at Belmont

Even with all the great college basketball games that are on tonight, the sharps are still going with a game that absolutely no one will be watching tonight. Even more disgusting, we are betting on a team that is 5-22 on the season to cover. That's what being sharp is all about though, taking the lines that look terrible because the public would never. So today, we are betting on Evansville to cover a massive spread against Belmont.

A huge 79% of the money is on the Purple Aces here, but just 23% of the total tickets are on that side. That means that those tickets are very expensive, and a whole lot of high-rollers are laying down wads of cash on that side of the aisle. In contrast, only about 21% of the money has been wagered on the Bruins as of this writing, but 77% of tickets have been placed taking them to cover. That means those tickets are being placed by the public. That gives us a 56% pro-money advantage on the Purple Aces, making them the sharp side tonight.

This bet is very disgusting to take, but this is a lot of points to lay for anyone. Perhaps the Purple Aces can come through for us and at least keep the game somewhat competitive tonight.

NHL Sharp Bet: Canucks ML vs. Rangers

As of this writing, 81% of the money is on the Canucks in this one, but just 11% of the total tickets. In comparison, 19% of the money is liking the Rangers to cover in the game, but 89% of tickets are riding with that side. That means that the tickets that are worth a substantially higher amount of money are siding with the Canucks in the game, as 81% of the money wagered is on 11% of the tickets placed.

I actually don't agree with this sharp play. The Rangers are a much better team in my opinion, and their defensive and goaltending issues are going to be a real problem against a fast and deadly Rangers offense that can score with the best of them. Vancouver is allowing 4.02 goals per game, the highest number in the NHL, while New York is averaging 3.32 goals per game. The Canucks offense is good, no doubts there, but I would only back them when they are facing a team that also has serious issues.
