The Bulls are going to be without DeMar DeRozen tonight when they take on the Pacers, which means Zach LaVine is the next man up in the scoring department. He's been upset this season that he's not the No. 1 guy for the Bulls, but he'll have the chance to be that tonight. LaVine is also having the best shooting month of the season, shooting 52.6% from the field. With the All-Star break right around the corner, I don't see teams playing very tough defense over these next few games, which is why I expect LaVine to play a major role in a high-scoring game tonight.
In Bridges' first game with the Nets, he scored 23 points on 8-for-18 shooting. His points prop for the next game was 18.5, which didn't get close to hitting as he finished with only seven points. He also only took eight shots in that game, 10 fewer than he took in the previous game. Bridges is still trying to figure out his role within this new-look Nets team, which means the market is also unsure how to price him. If he has another high-volume shooting night, I could see him going over tonight's number of 17.5, but I don't think that's going to be the case, especially against a really good defensive team in the Miami heat.
Overall, the Dallas Mavericks aren't the strongest team defensively. They give up a ton of points to centers and around the rim. However, the one area of their defense that is actually pretty good is defending the 3-point line, which is why I'm going to take Michael Porter Jr. to stay under 2.5 made 3s. The Mavs are ninth on the season in opponent 3-point percentage and second over their last five games. They're also top-10 in opponent 3-point attempts and makes. Porter has struggled shooting against Dallas in previous meetings this season, going 1-for-5 from deep in each of the two games he's played against them.
