NBA Player Props: 3 Best Bets for Monday, May 3

Today's NBA slate features 8-games, including a couple of fun ESPN games. Luckily for us, there are plenty of options to choose from for our player prop bets. As for the marquee game of the day, I'll go with Nuggets-Lakers. Denver is favored by 3.5-points and the total is set to 214.5.

For today’s best NBA bets, player props are a fun way to wager on NBA games even if you don't like a side or total. I like to find matchups that I can exploit or good situations due to injuries.

Trae Young OVER 24.5 points

Young is averaging 26.5 PPG over his last six games played, and he scored 26 points against Portland earlier this season. Young has gone over this mark in two straight games as well.

Playing the Blazers is a great matchup for Young on paper. Portland ranks 24th in points allowed and 29th in defensive rating, so he will get plenty of clean looks.

Game script wise, we should see a lot of points in this one with the total set to 236. I like the Atlanta side to win, and if that is going to happen, they'll need Young to put up at least 25+.

Lonzo Ball OVER 6.5 assists and OVER 13.5 points

This game has the highest total on the board, so we will see plenty of fireworks from both sides. Ball is coming off one of his best games of the season and I see that continuing tonight against a banged up Warriors team.

Golden State ranks 21st in points allowed and Ball should be able to penetrate against this defense tonight.

He has gone over this assist mark in three out of his last four games, and you can currently find this number at + money. Scoring wise, he has gone over this number in four out of his last five games.

I love the matchup and game script here, so will be playing both props equally.

On a side note, I have not seen an Andrew Wiggins point total yet. With Oubre out, someone is going to need to pickup the scoring load for the Warriors. If his point total is anywhere in the 15.5 points, I'd take the over.
