Malcolm Brogdon Trade Makes the Celtics 2022-2023 NBA Title Favorites

The Celtics' most recent move has improved their odds to win the 2023 NBA Title

Still recovering from the brutal end to the Celtics season?

Well, then it's about time you get over it and look to the future of the team because I have some good news for you. After Boston's recent acquisition of Malcolm Brogdon they became the favorites to win the 2023 NBA Title, as their odds moved to +500 at FanDuel in the aftermath of the news. This moves them ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors, who, of course, just beat out the Celtics to win the championship. Suffice it to say, there is hope for the C's next season.

Brogdon, the 2017 NBA Rookie of the Year, was traded from the Pacers to the Celtics exchange for Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith, Nik Stauskas, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, and a 2023 first-round pick. The point guard gives fans a spark of excitement in an otherwise bleak start to the NBA offseason. Add to that, the Celtics are also signing free agent forward Danilo Gallinari, which certainly adds to oddsmakers' faith in this team next season.

The Celtics now have a some absolutely solid roster pieces in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford, Robert Williams, Derrick White, Grant Williams, Payton Pritchard, Brogdon and Gallinari. The team also just drafted promising Alabama guard JD Davison, so, again, their future is looking bright.

I can't wait to see what else Brad Stevens has up his sleeve, but this is a pretty, pretty great start to the offseason for the Celtics.
