Dan Karpuc: Yankees -1.5 Runs at Orioles
Jameson Taillon (3-1, 2.93 ERA) will be on the hill for the Yankees, which is good news for them. New York has gone 5-0 vs. the run line in Taillon’s last five starts and he’s allowed two or fewer earned runs in all six of his starts this year. This Yankees lineup has a ton of power in it and they’ll get a plus-matchup tonight. Orioles starter Spenser Watkins (0-1, 5.19 ERA) has crashed back down to Earth after his solid start. Over his last two starts against the Twins and Cardinals, he’s allowed 15 hits and 10 earned runs over just 8.1 innings pitched. Watkins is one of the pitchers that isn’t quite effective enough to be at the MLB level, but he’s being asked to eat up innings for the rebuilding Orioles. He had an 8.07 ERA in 16 games (10 starts) last season and nearly has more walks (12) than strikeouts (13) in his 26.0 innings this year. I expect Taillon to limit Baltimore’s bats and for the Bronx Bombers to live up to their name once again.

Brad Pinkerton: Yankees -1.5 at Orioles

Lucy Burdge: Cubs -140 ML vs. Pirates
Not only did the Cubs just beat the Pirates on Monday, they beat them 9-0. The Cubs have won their last three games, while the Pirates have lost four of their last seven, so I like Chicago to get another win here. A trend favoring the Cubs is that David Ross is 24-15 in May games while coaching Chicago, so I’m all-in on the Cubs to topple the Pirates here.
