Bucks vs. 76ers Prediction

The Bucks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-98 just a few days ago, while the 76ers had four days off after their 105-98 home win over the Utah Jazz. For the Bucks, the win came on the back of not Giannis Antetokounmpo, but of Brook Lopez. He had a career night against the Cavs last time out, scoring 29 points and while making seven 3s. The guy has been an absolute mad bomber from deep in 2022. Lopez has gone 35 of 90 from 3-point range through the first 14 games of the season, shooting 38.9% from beyond the arc. If he keeps up that type of play as a big man, the Bucks are even more dangerous than we thought.

While we're on the subject of players having huge games, let's take a minute to talk about Joel Embiid. He had arguably the best game of his already great career against the Jazz. Embiid scored a career-high 59 points and added 11 rebounds, eight assists, and seven blocked shots, a performance for the ages as he simply couldn't be stopped. He was so dominant in the game, he scored 26 of Philadelphia's 27 points in the fourth quarter. Embiid became the first player in NBA history with 50 points, 10 boards, five rebounds, five assists, and five blocks in a game since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74. Simply incredible, and a game that will be remembered for a long time.

PICK: As insane as Embiid was, Philadelphia only managed to win by seven points. They have some serious problems with that roster outside of him, and now instead of taking on Lauri Markkanen down low, he'll have to contend with Giannis and Lopez. Milwaukee is the better team overall, so give me the Bucks.

Knicks vs. Warriors Prediction

The Knicks are coming off of a 118-111 win over the Utah Jazz in their last game. I guess this is bad news for the Jazz that we are talking about a few teams in this article that are coming off wins over them. New York hasn't been a great team this season, but there are several things about them that are encouraging. No. 1 on that list has to be Jalen Brunson, who has been fantastic for the team since they acquired him. In this last game against the Jazz, he notched 25 points on 10 out of 20 shooting, while also grabbing three rebounds and dishing out eight assists. He was electric, and he's what New York needs on a nightly basis.

The Warriors haven't started this season out the way that they thought that they would. The defending champs have been reeling early, but there is plenty of time to turn things around, and I have faith that head coach Steve Kerr can make that happen. In their last game against the Spurs, they cruised to an easy 132-95 victory that wasn't sweaty at all. Everyone talks about Steph Curry and Klay Thompson when it comes to the Warriors, and with good reason, but perhaps it's time to start talking about Jordan Poole as the last piece of a shooting trifecta. Poole went off against San Antonio, scoring 36 points with a couple of assists and rebounds. Most impressive, but he also shot a ridiculous 65% from the floor.

PICK: This should be a close game, as neither team has been impressive so far this season overall. Give me the points with New York here.

Magic vs. Bulls Prediction

Orlando is coming off a 126-108 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves a couple of nights ago, while Chicago is on a three-game losing skid and coming off a 124-110 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, which we predicted in our article on Wednesday. The Magic will start a three-game road trip here in Chicago, so they will have a tough stretch coming up away from home. Let's be real, though, every part of this season has been a tough test for Orlando. They are on the bottom rung of all NBA teams this season, and they will likely finish down there as well. They have been led by rookie Paolo Banchero, who is averaging 23.5 points per game.

The Bulls are really struggling right now, and that may be an understatement. They have lost three straight, and in pretty disgraceful fashion as well. None of the games have been really close, except for a four-point loss to that same Pelicans team that just beat them again by a larger margin. They haven't been good on either side of the court, but the offense has been particularly bad, where their offensive rating is 110.7 which ranks 21st in the NBA, while they are averaging just 110.7 PPG. Lonzo Ball and Coby White continue to be out, and it is evident that the Bulls really miss Ball, who is a leader on the offense.

PICK: I dislike both teams quite a bit, but I think now is the time that the Bulls end the losing streak. Orlando has a million injuries right now, and no one that will be playing is capable of defending Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan.
