Risk-Free +4043 HR Parlay Featuring Pete Alonso

All three of these hitters are in advantageous spots on Tuesday

There are a lot of offensive spots to like on today’s MLB slate, but three hitters stand out above the rest when it comes to home run upside. You can take advantage of these on FanDuel’s Dinger Tuesday promo or parlay them at +4043 odds completely risk-free at BetMGM. Take a look at all three legs below and find out why each one is so appealing. Note: RotoGrinders’ free Plate IQ tool was used for advanced batter vs. pitcher statistics. ISO (Isolated Power) is considered elite if it’s over .200 for a hitter and terrible if it’s over .200 as a pitcher.

Pete Alonso vs. Mike Minor/Reds Bullpen (+225)

Mike Minor is one of our gas cans of the day, A.K.A. a pitcher to definitely fade. In 193 plate appearances against right-handed hitters this season, he’s allowed a .329 ISO, has a low 18.1% strikeout rate, has allowed a high 47.7% fly ball rate and a high 45.5% hard hit rate. Pete Alonso is sporting a .266 ISO versus left-handed pitching, has a low 17.9% strikeout rate and a solid 42.1% hard hit rate. In fact, 47.6% of his contact against southpaws has been over 95 miles per hour. Further, Minor tends to attack the inside of the plate against righties, and that’s exactly where Alonso’s most powerful. Minor mainly uses a mix of fastballs (50.57% frequency), sliders (18.39%) and changeups (24.14%) against righties and Alonso has thrived against all three of those offerings against lefties this year, posting a .246 ISO versus fastballs, insane .704 ISO versus sliders and .260 ISO versus changeups. The “Polar Bear” has a great chance to go yard tonight.

Austin Riley vs. Rich Hill/Red Sox Bullpen (+275)

This is a matchup between two struggling teams, but the individual matchup for Riley is one to be aware of. In 267 plate appearances against right-handed hitters this season, Rich Hill has allowed a .213 ISO, but it’s Riley’s insane prowess against southpaws that makes this a fantastic leg of the parlay. In 121 plate appearances against lefties this season, he has an insane .390 ISO and has an absurd 57.5% hard hit rate against that handedness. If Hill attacks Riley down in the zone, particularly on the outer part of the plate, he will likely pay dearly since the All-Star third baseman thrives in that zone. Riley has a .271 ISO against fastballs from lefties and .462 ISO against curveballs from southpaws and those two pitches make up more than 90% of Hill’s pitch frequency. Don’t be shocked when he sends one over the Green Monster tonight.

Nolan Gorman vs. Ryan Feltner/Rockies Bullpen (+240)

The Cardinals -1.5 runs is my staff pick of the day and I love their chances of being the highest-scoring team on the slate. While Ryan Feltner has limited power to right-handed hitters, he’s struggled against lefties, allowing a .284 ISO. Nolan Gorman has a .225 ISO against right-handed pitching this season, but his peripheral numbers are also outstanding for the thin Rocky Mountain air at Coors Field. Gorman has a 44.4% fly ball rate against right-handed pitching and a 42.7% hard hit rate against that handedness. He also leads the Cardinals with a 323.6-foot average air distance against left-handed pitching. Feltner has thrown fastballs 67.74% of the time against lefties, which is therefore very predictable. Gorman has a great chance to send one into orbit today.
