2026 Cy Young Predictions

The Cy Young award is given every year to the best pitcher in the National League and American League. The award is voted on by members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America and doesn't give any favoritism to pitchers on teams that make the postseason. American League Contenders

The odds makers seem to really like AL East this season, with three of the top four odds leaders coming from that division. Leading the pack is the Yankees' Cam Schlittler. Through the All-Star break he's had 20 starts and has a 9-5 record with a 2.05 ERA and a 4.1 WAR. Cam's ERA is nearly 0.50 lower than anyone else in the division and his 137 Ks are teh second most. He's currently listed at +120 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Just slightly behind him in the at +145 on DraftKings is Toronto starter Dylan Cease. He's got a 2.56 ERA, leads the AL in Ks and has gone 6-4 in 17 starts so far this season. Rounding out the current top-3 is Drew Rasmussen from the Rays at +1100. Rasmussen is a bit of a surprise when teammate Nick Martinez has a better ERA and win loss record. At this moment you're kidding yourself if right now at this moment you're thinking anyone outside of Jacob Misiorowski is winning the NL Cy Young this year. The Brewers right hander has an incredible 1.62 ERA after 18 starts and has turned that into a 10-4 record while also leading the NL in strike outs. It's pretty clear to see why FanDuel currently has him at -550. The only pitcher even within striking distance is the Phillies Cristopher Sanchez.
