Upset Alert: Beware These NFL Underdogs in Week 4

Dan Karpuc: Ravens +140 vs. Bills
The Ravens should be 3-0 right now; they took care of the Jets and Patriots on the road and blew a three-touchdown lead to the Dolphins in Week 2 with some busted coverages. Lamar Jackson is playing at an MVP level right now and this Baltimore offense has gotten production from its receivers, one of the major question marks heading into this season. The Bills are banged up right now and will likely be without numerous defensive difference-makers. That matters less against normal offenses, but should matter a ton against a dynamic athlete like Jackson, who will require a completely different scheme than anyone else in the league. Not only that, but under Jim Harbaugh, the Ravens have gone 15-2 SU after allowing 375 or more total yards in two straight games (+15.8 units, 92.9% ROI); 31-11 SU after gaining 6.5+ yards per play (+21.4 units, 51.0% ROI); and 23-8 SU after scoring 35+ points in their last game (+15.6 units, 50.3% ROI). Give me the Ravens to take care of business on their home field.

Lucy Burdge: Jaguars +230 at Eagles
The Jaguars have been a bit of a surprise this season, having won their last two games, and I think they have a great shot to beat new head coach Doug Pederson's former team this week. Some trends in their favor to win this are that Pederson in his career is 42-25 in games played on a grass field over his career; 11-8 when playing against a top-level team with a winning percentage of 75 percent or higher; and 24-15 after hitting an over. And after seeing the way Trevor Lawrence has been playing so far this season, I would not count the Jaguars out against the Eagles in this game.

Brad Pinkerton: Broncos +120 at Raiders

I was a little surprised to see the 0-3 Raiders not only open as -1.5 favorites, but stretch to -2.5 this week. I think that has created value on the underdog Broncos around +120. Sure, the Broncos are an ugly 2-1 right now, but at least they have proven that they can win those ugly games with stellar defense. The Raiders, meanwhile, have yet to prove they can win -- at all. They're even 0-3 ATS, including 0-2 as favorites. I expect this to be another scrappy, low-scoring game -- exactly the kind of ugly game Denver has been enjoying -- that the Broncos can control with their RB duo and stout defense. Give me Denver with the small upset in Las Vegas.
