If you've bet with our model on 1st half Patriots wagers this season, you're probably very happy right now

  • The New England Patriots are coming off of an absolute beatdown of the New York Jets, crushing them 54-13, and rookie QB Mac Jones looked impressive again in his development under Bill Belichick.

  • While he has had his troubles at times and has gone through some growing pains, he's passed for 1,779 yards and 9 touchdowns through seven games. The Patriots are currently 3-4 on the season heading into their showdown with Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.

  • The BetQL model has been great at analyzing Jones this season. It is 6-0 (100%) in 1st half ATS bets in his starts ($100 bets would have had a total return of $565). The model is also 5-1 (83.3%) on 1st half O/U bets during Mac Jones starts, and $100 bets would have had a total return of $341.

Jones Shows Leadership, Poise Early In Career

While the Patriots are just 3-4 on the season so far, rookie QB Mac Jones has been tasked with filling impossible shoes. The departure of legendary QB Tom Brady from New England was shocking to some and signaled the end of the greatest run in NFL history for a QB and team. With a huge hole at QB and Cam Newton not getting the job done, the Patriots drafted Jones in the hopes he was their next great QB.

Jones was named the starting QB of the team for Week 1, and was immediately thrust into the NFL game. Since then, there has been ups and downs, but his maturity and leadership has really stood out. He has constantly taken the blame when he makes mistakes, or the team has a poor game. He seems to be getting better as time goes on, which is what you want to see from your young franchise signal-caller.

Going into next week's showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers, Jones looks to be in great position to keep the Pats competitive. In many ways, he reminds me of Chargers QB Justin Herbert. A guy who wasn't expected to be a superstar, but immediately was charged with that responsibility. Jones hasn't reached Herbert level yet, or as quickly as the Bolts QB did, but he seems to be on his way.

This BetQL Model Trend Is On Fire

Mac Jones is undoubtably been one of the more promising young rookie's in the league this season, and under head coach Bill Belichick, I think a lot of people saw that coming. I'm assuming our model did too, because it has been hitting some of his bets with insane frequency. It is 6-0 (100%) in 1st half ATS bets in his starts ($100 bets would have had a total return of $565). The model is also 5-1 (83.3%) on 1st half O/U bets during Mac Jones starts, and $100 bets would have had a total return of $341.

You know what we call it when we are winning at a 100% and 83% clip? Total domination of the books, and that is what we love to see here at BetQL. It is pretty clear and obvious that the model has got a grip on Jones as a starting QB to this point, and it's also pretty obvious that you should be taking advantage of this money maker. Subscribe today to see how are model likes the Patriots in the first half of next week's showdown with LA.
