Notable Line Movement, Most-Bet Props Ahead of NFL Hall of Fame Game

The NFL preseason is here! Well, it will be on Thursday night as it kicks off with the NFL Hall of Fame Game between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. And there has been some notable line movement ahead of this matchup, as well as some popular prop bets.

The Steelers opened as 1-point favorites to beat the Cowboys in this game, and that line has moved to -1.5. 77 percent of tickets and 87 percent of the handle for the spread is on Pittsburgh. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has a 41 percent, 12-17-2 preseason record against the spread as the underdog. His preseason record against the spread as the favorite is 15-6.

The total opened at 34 and has since moved to 33. The Under is getting 55 percent of the tickets and 58 percent of the handle. This move is notable since Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin happens to be the most profitable under coach in the NFL preseason. His Unders record is 32-21-1.

As for the moneyline, the Steelers opened at -120 and that is now at -145. 54 percent of the tickets and 84 percent of the handle for the moneyline is on the Steelers. 

There are some pretty popular prop bets for this matchup as well. The most-bet props for this include: Will there be a score in the final two minutes of the 1st half? No (+220), Will either team score 3 times in a row? No (+150), and Steelers first team to score 20 points (+200). 

Most importantly, don’t listen to those who say the preseason is small potatoes. The start of the preseason means there’s finally football to bet on again. And that is something to celebrate.
