Conference tournament time is here and BetQL is your source for best bets, sharp picks, public data, historical trends and so much more every single day for every single game! These are the odds to win the 2023 C-USA Conference Championship:
Florida Atlantic -150, UAB +200, North Texas +550, Charlotte +1500, Middle Tennessee +2000, LA Tech +5000, Western Kentucky +10000, Rice +12500, Texas El Paso +25000, Florida International +25000, Texas San Antonio +50000
The Owls will have the top spot in the C-USA this season, and for good reason. Florida Atlantic has been dominant all season long, compiling a 16-2 conference record and 26-3 overall record this year. They literally haven't lost a single game at home, going 17-0 during the regular season. Guard Alijah Martin has been their best player this year, scoring 13.1 points per game while shooting 45.7% from the field. Look for him to be a strong contender for tournament MVP as we ramp things up, and boy is this going to be a fun one to watch. The winner has a shot to make the NCAA Tournament, so you best believe we will see some really good basketball here.
C-USA Winner Best Bet: UAB (+200)
The Blazers won't be the favorite this season to win this conference, but at the price, I think they are a very good wager. UAB is led by Andy Kennedy and returns four starters from last year’s squad that hoisted the trophy at the C-USA Basketball Championship and appeared in the NCAA Tournament. They have the experience necessary to make a deep run, and they are led by one of the most exciting players in the country. Jordan Walker should be considered the favorite to win tournament MVP if his team can make a run. Walker last season became the first Blazer to be named C-USA Player of the Year since 2011, and he has followed that up with a season in which he averaged 22.4 points per game.
C-USA Winner Sleeper Pick: Western Kentucky (+10000)
It was a very disappointing season for WKU this year, as many people thought this would be one of the better teams in the conference to begin the year. They went just 7-11 in conference play and 15-14 overall. I think they can make a run based on their experience as well. Like the Blazers, WKU also features four returning starters from last season. Guard Dayvion McKnight, a first-team all-conference honoree last season, has been great once again averaging 16.7 points per game. If he gets hot, they can beat anyone.
C-USA Winner Deep Sleeper Pick: Rice (+12500)
The chances here pretty small, just like WKU, but Rice can make a bit of a run if things go right for them. Quincy Olivari has been the main driving force behind Rice having a pretty good season this year, averaging 19.3 points per game. It's another situation where we find a player that has the potential to get hot and lead his team to multiple wins in a row, and he is one of those types of players. Rice didn't have a winning record in the conference, but they have the players capable of winning a few games in a row, and they have managed to keep a lot of their games pretty close.
This obviously is a longshot, so don't put much down on this, but i think it's worth a shot.
