Over his last two starts, Curry racked up 10 assists and 15 assists, respectively, and the Warriors were unsurprisingly victorious in both contests. He averaged 16.5 potential assists in those two games and has clearly made an effort to facilitate as the Warriors attempt to turn around their season after a brutal beginning to the new year.
The Pelicans have allowed 8.9 assists per game to opposing point guards (8th-most) and have elite perimeter defenders (Jose Alvarado and Herb Jones) who could slightly limit Curry as a scorer and get the ball out of his hands slightly more than usual. I wouldn’t be shocked if he got to double-digits for the third consecutive game.
The first time Tatum faced off against the Bulls this season, he went 4-for-8 from three-point range. Boston’s superstar has taken an incredible amount of threes per game in the month of November (10.4), but has made only 3.4 per contest.
That 32.7% three-point shooting percentage isn’t great, but the sheer volume should give him a great chance to make three or more deep balls, like he has in six of his last nine starts. Some positive regression should be coming his way and when it does, four or five threes is a very realistic outcome. I love the Celtics to win and cover on the road tonight, so this player prop blends in perfectly with that prediction as well.
With Damian Lillard out, Jrue Holiday guarding Anfernee Simons, Giannis Antetkounmpo defending Jerami Grant and Brook Lopez matching up against Jusuf Nurkic, I can see a lot of opportunities going Josh Hart’s way tonight against the Bucks.
Coming off a 19-point performance against the Jazz, Hart should have a nice bit of confidence heading into tonight’s matchup and based on his presumed shot volume and usage, I like him getting over this 11.5-point number.
