Warriors star Draymond Green has declined his $27.5 million player option and will now become an unrestricted free agent. This move by Green was expected because it gives him the opportunity to not only re-sign with the Warriors but also explore both free agency and the sign-and-trade market.

Green was drafted 35th overall by Golden State in the 2012 NBA draft and has spent his entire career in the Bay area.

Here's a look at the teams with the six best odds to land Green, according to the initial numbers released by DraftKings: Warriors +150, Lakers +500, Mavericks +700, Suns +800, Rockets +1500, Heat +2000.

Warriors +150

The Warriors are the favorite to have Green on their roster next season. They expected Green to opt out of his contract after they decided not to give him an extension, but all reports suggest that Golden State is eager to work out a deal to bring him back. Green has been the heart and soul of this Warriors team for years and is a key piece in the dynasty run they've built.

A few weeks ago, John Hollinger of The Athletic wrote that Green returning to the Warriors could look something like a three-year, $75 million contract. This would give the 33-year-old a solid contract with three more years in Golden State and also allows the organization to reduce its yearly payroll. Steve Kerr also made it clear earlier this offseason that the Warriors won't be able to contend for a title next season if Green isn't on the roster. But with new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. taking over for Bob Myers, there is a chance that Dunleavy Jr. may want to put his mark on the organization and go another direction. Still, I doubt that's the case and I would expect to see Green back in a Warriors uniform at the start of next season.

Lakers +500

The Lakers have the second shortest odds to land Green partially because they made it clear this offseason that Green would be a dream offseason target. The former Defensive Player of the Year would be a great addition next to his good friend LeBron James. Adding Green would significantly improve the Lakers' defense and would also surround James with another solid playmaker that could serve as the floor general at times.

The only issue here is that L.A. doesn't have a whole lot of cap space to play around with. Adding Green would only work if he's willing to take a pay cut. And if he doesn't want to take a pay cut in Golden State, there isn't much that makes me think he wants to leave and make less money with the Lakers. Still, with the second-shortest odds, there's clearly a path for the move to become a reality.

Celtics +4000

This is a long shot, but hear me out. A move to Boston would likely require Green to do a sign-and-trade with the Warriors, but the Celtics have the pieces to make it happen. Boston isn't going to give up its core of Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown, and Marcus Smart, but it could be fine parting with players such as Derrick White and Robert Williams if it meant they added Green. Now I know there has been plenty of controversy between Green and Celtics fans over the last few years, but I'd imagine the fans would embrace Green if he was playing for their team rather than against it.

Adding Green would add much-needed veteran leadership. After making back-to-back appearances in the Eastern Conference Finals, it's clear that the Celtics have tons of talent, but they've lacked a true leader in past seasons. Green brings exactly what Boston needs in that area while also upping its defensive presence. Again, this is a long shot, but at 40-1, it might be worth a sprinkle.
