Wow, I am stunned by how well Vegas has done out of the gates this season. They are perhaps the best team in the NHL, and they have been just dominating their opponents to this point. They have won eight straight games, and this is a train that is hard to bet against right now. The offense has been legit, scoring almost four goals per game, while also getting 33 shots on goal per game as well. The Golden Knights are 6-2 in their road games against the spread. The total has gone OVER in two of the Golden Knights' last five games.

Buffalo has finally hit that regression wall that I was waiting for. They were on fire when the season began, but they have cooled off quite a bit. They still have a very dangerous offense that scores close to four goals per game as well, and also is taking 32 shots per game. Their goaltending has struggled a bit, allowing over three goals per game. The Sabres are 3-2 in their last 5 games against the puck line. The total has gone OVER in three of the Sabres' seven last games at home.

MY PICK: How can I possibly pick against Vegas right now. Their goaltending has far exceeded my expectations, and they are extremely dangerous all around. Buffalo will challenge that goaltending, but in the end, Vegas will pull it out.

We get the Kings and the Blackhawks again tonight, a matchup we just saw not too long ago in Chicago. The Blackhawks were able to pull that one out, but they got outplayed in the game, which is what they have been doing for most of the season. The biggest weakness for LA has been their goaltending, which continues to let up too many goals. The defense has been average, allowing just over 30 shots a game, so they need to get better production out of their net minders. The Kings are 1-4 in their last 5 games against the puck line. The total has gone OVER in three of the Kings' last seven games at home.

The Blackhawks have been winning games despite being outplayed pretty severely in most of them. They have been miserable offensively, taking just over 25 shots per game, and the defense has also been awful, allowing 34 shots per contest. This is a surefire fade team down the stretch, and I dont see them continuing to upset teams. Regression is coming. The Blackhawks are 3-2 in their road games against the puck line. The total has gone OVER in two of the Blackhawks' last five games.

MY PICK: Give me the Kings in regulation here. I will be fading Chicago quite a bit, as I think they are one of the worst teams in hockey who has gotten quite lucky.

Two teams headed in totally opposite directions. Calgary has been a disaster lately, and there is no better example of that than their game against the New York Islanders just a few nights ago. They had a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period and blew it, eventually losing 4-3 in OT. This is a team that should not be as bad as they have been lately. They're taking 37 shots per game and only allowing 28 to opponents, so they are still playing very well. The Flames are 2-1 in their road games against the puck line. The total has gone OVER in only two of the Flames' last five games.

Boston has just been an absolute wagon this season. There is no other way to put a team that is 11-2 and strolling right along without a care in the world outside of winning hockey games. The offense is on fire, scoring over four goals per game, and the goaltending has been superb. This is a team that you don't want to be in front of right now. The Bruins are 5-0 in their last five games against the puck line. The total has gone OVER in three of the Bruins' last seven games at home.

MY PICK: I say all of that, and I'm taking the Flames here. They are a far better team than their record indicates, and eventually, things will turn around. At +140, they offer some significant value.
