Getting in early, right as the lines open, can make all the difference. Why? Because that's when the true gems, the opening-line values, are up for grabs. As the week progresses and the sharp money rolls in, those lines tend to shift, reflecting changing opinions and betting trends. So, if you're looking to stack the odds in your favor, it's all about being early.
Let's take a look at some lines here on Monday that I think will move in our favor as the week rolls on. BetQL subscribers can see the latest line movement, including spreads, totals and moneylines, all week leading up to every game! Sign up for a FREE TRIAL today!

Opening Line: Ravens -3.5 (+105, Caesars)
In the first of the two Championship games, Baltimore interestingly opened up as a -3.5 favorite against the Chiefs. I say this is interesting because instead of making them -3, which is a field goal, they gave the Chiefs the hook. Usually, that means the books are looking to take early money on one side, and indeed they have. Multiple books have now moved the line down to a juiced -3 for Baltimore.
The problem with these games is that you probably aren't going to see a lot of line movement. These are extremely important games that millions of people bet on, and the oddsmakers who release these lines are among the sharpest on the planet. Sportsbooks simply can't afford to release a bad line or they will get killed, so these games usually stay right around the same opening lines.
I love Baltimore in this one and hammered their ML at -165 on BetMGM early. Depending on who you like, you should grab the +3.5 with Kansas City while it is still there, or take Baltimore -3 or ML.
Opening Line: 49ers -6.5 (-115, BetMGM)
As soon as the Lions' win over the Buccaneers went final, the books posted this line. Immediately, it was bet to -7 almost everywhere with a ton of early money coming in on the 49ers at under a touchdown. However, most places on Monday afternoon have it back down to -6.5 juiced. I have a feeling this is going to bounce back and forth throughout the week, and depending on the side that you like, you should grab the -6.5 with San Francisco or +7 with the Lions. As previously mentioned, I don't expect the line to move anywhere besides these two numbers with how sharp this line is.
I threw a little down on the 49ers -6.5 early, about a half unit. I have thought the Lions were frauds all season long with that defense and an inconsistent QB, but I want to wait until I see what the weather is going to be on game day before I potentially add more. As we know, QB Jared Goff is terrible in any kind of inclement weather conditions. I love to fade him when he plays outdoors with some wind blowing, so we will see what happens.
