Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

It's a week four rematch for Georgia and Alabama as the Bulldogs look to avenge their only loss of the season as they return to the SEC Champion for the 5th year in a row. Georgia has been on a tear since their week 4 loss to the Tide 24-21, knocking off Ole Miss, Texas and Georgia Tech on their way to the title game. The Bulldogs currently have a free pass into the quarterfinals where they'd take on the winner of Ole Miss vs. an yet to be named opponent. Georgia might not be "leading" the nation in scoring or points allowed per game, but they've had one of the toughest schedules in college football this season. Still, they're only allowing 16.7 PPG and averaging over 32 PPG against stiff competition.

As for Alabama a week one loss to Florida State and a loss to then #11 Oklahoma has the Crimson Tide currently ranked 9th and set for a rematch against the Sooners in the first round of the CFP. A win over Georgia likely wouldn't get them a free pass into the quarterfinals, but would get them a lower ranked opponent in the first round, likely taking over the #5 spot from Oregon. If Alabama wins and Texas Tech loses, a case could be made to see them jump as high as #4, but that's a big ask. Like the Bulldogs, Alabama is allowing just over 16 PPG while putting up 33.3 PPG on average.
