Dan Karpuc: East Carolina -10.5 vs. Hampton
BetQL is labeling this as one of the best ATS bets today and it’s hard to argue with it. The model projects ECU to win by 15, a 4.5-point difference from this line. Hampton has gone 3-12 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record over the last three seasons and got blown out, 106-58, to James Madison in their opener, their only Division I opponent so far. East Carolina beat Mercer as an underdog in their opener (77-75) before blowing out Presbyterian 77-57 in their second matchup of the year. I’m very confident in ECU winning outright (they’ve gone 15-1 SU as a favorite over the last three years) and stellar sophomore guards Javon Small (19.5 PPG) and RJ Felton (17.0 PPG) should provide plenty of scoring alongside junior forward Brandon Johnson, who will be returning from an illness. He missed last game, but put up 24 points and seven rebounds in the opener against Mercer.

Brad Pinkerton: No. 2 Gonzaga +1.5 vs. No. 11 Texas

This is a true toss-up, so I'm taking the team that has been tested early in the season -- and the one getting the points. That's Gonzaga (the Zags opened -1), which beat a decent North Florida team, 104-63, before fending off a Michigan State team that's much better than advertised, 64-63. Meanwhile, Texas has only beaten UTEP (also decent), 72-57, and Houston Christian (awful), 82-31. I'll play it safe and take the points here, but I do think Gonzaga wins outright as Texas just hasn't been challenged yet. As BetQL points out, Mark Few with Gonzaga is 25-9 SU against Big 12 opponents and 29-10 away from home with the total is 140-144.5 (it's 144.5 at the moment).

Lucy Burdge: No. 9 Arkansas -15 vs. S. Dakota State

Arkansas is coming off of covering a 19.5-point spread and I think they can get this done against South Dakota State. Some trends in their favor are that Eric Musselman while coaching Arkansas is 13-2 ATS after allowing 25 points or fewer in the first half, and 8-0 ATS after allowing 50 points or fewer overall while coaching Arkansas. So I really like Arkansas to win big over South Dakota State here and cover this double-digit spread.
