Pacers PG Tyrese Haliburton O 17.5 Points

The Pacers may be rebuilding, but right now, this is Tyrese Haliburton’s team. He proved that in the season-opener loss to the Wizards when he went 10-of-18 shooting for 26 points, four rebounds and seven assists. He should continue to operate in a high-usage, primary-scorer role for the entirety of the season and this point total is simply too low, especially considering his opponent.

The Spurs are tanking in pursuit of Victor Wembanyama and just gave up 129 points to the Hornets, who were playing without LaMelo Ball. Not only that, but San Antonio allowed Terry Rozier to score 24 points and Dennis Smith Jr. to score 12 points at the starting point guard and backup point guard positions. Haliburton has 30-point upside in this matchup and should cruise over this number.

Celtics F Jayson Tatum O 7.5 Rebounds

The Celtics have been forced to start the year without center Robert Williams, which will thrust Jayson Tatum into more potential rebounding opportunities. Starting beside Al Horford, Tatum pulled down 12 boards in the season-opener against the Sixers and will be relied upon to continue to do so in this matchup against the Heat.

Also keep in mind that Tatum played 39 minutes in that game, which is important to note. This is also expected to be a tight matchup, so perhaps head coach Joe Mizzulla will be comfortable keeping his superstar on the floor for close to 40 minutes a night. The Heat tend to play with a small lineup outside of Bam Adebayo, so Tatum will also have the height advantage over Jimmy Butler or Caleb Martin, both of whom start at the three and four.

Grizzlies PG Ja Morant O 7.5 Assists

In the season-opener against the Knicks, Ja Morant had 19 potential assists (the 2nd-most of any player) and an astronomical 35.8% usage rate. Now facing off against a bad Rockets team that likes to play very fast, he has the chance to rack up a ton of assists on Friday night.

The Rockets allowed both Trae Young (13) and Dejounte Murray (11) to record double-digit assists in their first game (you don't see that very often) and considering all of the usage that Morant eats up and the presumed pace, don’t be shocked if he gets over this number by halftime.
