A Sneaky Potential Landing Spot For Bronny James

Bronny James and LeBron to Philadelphia?

Bronny James is one of the most hyped prospects ahead of this year's NBA Draft; all eyes on where LeBron's son will land in the Association.

And new reports are speculating the Philadelphia 76ers could be planning to draft the younger James in an attempt to entice LeBron to join the team as well.

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer recently speculated the Sixers could be looking to acquire LeBron James. And one way to up their chances of landing the NBA's all-time leader scorer?

Draft his son.

LeBron, of course, currently plays for the Lakers and he said he would like to play his final NBA season on the same team as his son.

But he has since seemed to change his mind.

After the end of the Lakers' season this year, LeBron said doing this is "no longer a priority" and Bronny echoed that and expressed that he doesn't want to be known as just "LeBron's son." I get it, but good luck with that, Bronny.

Lakers Favored, But What About Philly's Odds?

With all of that in mind, would the Sixers' potential plan to lure LeBron by drafting his son work out?

Maybe not, but it could be worth a shot. The odds don't suggest the Sixers have the best chance to carry out the first part of this plan, but it's not completely out of the question.

At BetMGM, the Lakers are favored to draft Bronny at +160, followed by the Suns lower down at +750, the Cavaliers and Jazz tied at +1000 and the 76ers at +1300 tied with the Knicks and Thunder.

LeBron doesn't have to decide on his future until after the Draft and can become a free agent if he declines his $51.4 million player option with the Lakers for next season, thus opening the door to a potential exit.

Even if LeBron says ending his career playing with his son isn't a priority, it would still be cool if it just ended up happening.

And the 76ers could make sense for this scenario. Now that the Lakers will officially not be helmed by Dan Hurley and LeBron will want a chance at another championship before retiring, it stands to reason the 76ers would give him an excellent chance at this with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey already on their roster.

Philly has the he No. 41 pick in the Draft and the Lakers are at No. 55 in the second round, so the Sixers could snag Bronny before Los Angeles. Why not draft the most buzzed-about prospect in this Draft?
