The Celtics Won the NBA Finals

The Boston Celtics actually did it on Monday night. They won the NBA Finals.

Beating the Dallas Mavericks 106-88, the Celtics secured an NBA record 18th title win. And while the confetti is still settling on this win, I think they have a spectacular chance to repeat next season.

Dynasty incoming, folks.

2024-2025 NBA Finals Odds

This year's title was secured under 24 hours ago, but the odds for which team could take it next year are already up. And guess which team is favored at BetMGM.

That's right, the Celtics.

Boston leads the pack at +300 to win the Finals and +125 to win the East. And next up on the list of odds isn't even particularly close.

The Nuggets are up next at +750 and are favored to win the West at +375. Followed in Finals odds by the Mavericks +900 and the Bucks, Timberwolves and Thunder all tied at +1000.

And what better way to celebrate the Celtics winning the title than to bet on them to win it again next year???

Which is what I'm doing because I think they can repeat and there is value there now at +300.

Longshot Finals Pick

It is, of course, very difficult to repeat. Also, the opening favorite to win the Finals hasn't won it since the 2018 Warriors.

So if you're looking further down the board, I wouldn't overlook the Timberwolves at +1000. Anthony Edwards is for real and they surprised this season in their playoff run, which may inspire them to go even further next season.

So if you're looking beyond the Celtics (which I am not, I'm all in on the Celtics to repeat), the Timberwolves are an intriguing option.
