NBA Sharp Bet: Nets -9 vs. Lakers

The sharps are riding with the Brooklyn Nets in tonight's NBA action against the Los Angeles Lakers. A whopping 83% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Nets, but just 51% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 17% of the money is on the Lakers, but a large 49% of tickets are backing that side. That means we have a fairly large 32% "Pro Money Advantage" on the Nets, by taking the percentage of money wagered and subtracting the bet percentage.

Tickets on the Nets are worth more money overall than those on the Lakers, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move in favor of the Nets, showing that the respected money is on their side rather than the public in this matchup.

We all know why this line has moved so drastically in favor of the Nets, and that is the fact that both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are projected to be out for this game. The line has moved a ridiculous 10 points since the opener after the news that both stars would be absent for this game, and the sharps are betting Los Angeles gets crushed without them. I can't really argue with it either, as the Lakers aren't that great with them.

College Basketball Sharp Bet: Syracuse +5.5 vs. No. 7 Virginia

This is one of my personal favorite sides of the night. We have already seen the line move to +5 at some sportsbooks, and I think Syracuse is a team to be playing on right now. We took them before against North Carolina, and I think this is another valuable spot for the Orange.

NHL Sharp Bet: Blues at Jets Over 6

Let's head over to the ice for the final sharp play of the night. There is a ridiculous amount of value to be found in hockey, and if you have been following us here, you have made a lot of money betting on the NHL. The sharps are going with the over in the St. Louis Blues vs. the Winnipeg Jets game tonight. It's clear that the professional bettors are liking the over here to come through in a big way and for lots of goals to be scored.

As of this writing, 90% of the money is on the over to hit in this one, but just 68% of the total tickets. In comparison, 10% of the money is liking the under to cover in the game, but 32% of tickets are riding with that side. That means that the tickets that are worth a substantially higher amount of money are siding with the over in the game, as 90% of the money wagered is on just 68% of the tickets placed. This isn't shocking at all when you consider how bad the goaltending has been for the Blues this season, and also how poorly the Jets have been playing recently.
