Dan Karpuc: Knicks +4.5 at Timberwolves
I already wrote about how much I love R.J. Barrett’s 3-point total prop for this game, but I also like the Knicks as a whole. With Rudy Gobert in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols and therefore out for this contest, Minnesota’s eighth-best Defensive Rating should plummet as the former Defensive Player of the Year leads the team in Defensive Win Shares by a significant margin and ranks third among all NBA centers in that advanced metric. Under Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks have gone 71-52 ATS versus teams that average 23 or more assists per game. Since Minnesota averages 26.2, that trend is active, which adds some icing to the cake. Starting Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (knee) will be out on Monday, but Isaiah Hartenstein has proven to be a productive option behind him all season long and should be able to step in and make an impact in this one. After playing with two bigs on the court for the majority of the game (Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns), I can see Minnesota struggling to make certain rotations click and I might also sprinkle some on New York’s moneyline if I can get it at a nice price.

Brad Pinkerton: Cavaliers -3.5 at Clippers

The Cavs (8-1 ATS) are looking to take down both L.A. teams in back-to-back nights, and I'll back them to cover their ninth straight game assuming both Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Darius Garland (knee) are active. During this impressive start to the season, Cleveland has gone 4-1 ATS on the road and 3-0 as the road favorite. And here's a fun fact: The Cavs have been single-digit favorites six times this season and have won by double digits in all six of those games. The Clippers, meanwhile, are just 3-7 ATS after covering twice in their last nine games, including an 0-4 mark at home. Check the Cavs' injury reports, but they're a strong bet to cover again tonight if healthy.

Lucy Burdge: Celtics -3.5 at Grizzlies
The Celtics (6-3 SU, 4-5 ATS) have won three of their last four games and are coming off of a covered spread in their last win, while the Grizzlies (7-3 SU, 3-6 ATS) have failed to cover in four of their last five games. Some trends favoring the Celtics to cover the spread are that, while on the road over the last two years, the team is 23-8 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record, and 27-12 ATS against teams averaging at least 23 assists per game. The Celtics are starting to get on a roll here and I think they’ll continue that going into Memphis and cover this spread against the Grizzlies.
