Dan Karpuc: Thunder -3 vs. Magic
Words can’t describe how much I respect Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, not only because he began his career as an assistant at Holy Cross (my alma mater -- Go Cross!), but because he has consistently gotten his young teams to play very hard and outperform Vegas’ expectations. Since the start of last season, OKC has gone 53-31-4 (63.1%) ATS, the best mark in the entire NBA, and there are some powerful trends on their side for this matchup. In that same time span, the Thunder have gone 12-1 ATS against teams that average seven or fewer steals per game; 25-6 vs. teams that average 108.0 or fewer points per game; and 24-8 ATS against teams that force 13 or fewer turnovers per game. All of those trends are active against Orlando. While this Magic team can certainly pose some difficult positional matchups due to their size, I trust the Thunder to win and cover at home in this one. Also keep in mind that the Magic are banged up; Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, Mo Wagner, Gary Harris, Jonathan Isaac will be out for Orlando, while Jalen Suggs is questionable.

Lucy Burdge: Thunder -3
The Thunder have covered in their last three games and are 5-1 ATS this season, while the Magic have only covered twice in seven games, so I like the Thunder to keep their spread-covering streak going tonight. With their momentum and the trends Dan mentioned above, I like the Thunder to get it done against the Magic tonight and cover.

Brad Pinkerton: Nets -120 vs. Bulls

Oddsmakers have squeezed this line all the way down to Nets -1 after Brooklyn failed to cover yet again last night in a win against the Pacers, dropping them to 1-6 ATS on the season. As one-point favorites at home against Chicago, I think the Nets can finally pick up their second cover of the season, but I'll be on the moneyline to avoid the push, just in case. The Nets are still a mess right now, but they looked much better Monday against a feisty Pacers team and broke a four-game losing streak. Let's see if Kevin Durant and Co. can use that as an early-season turning point and pick up back-to-back wins and maybe even break the five-game ATS losing streak. Zach LaVine (knee), Ayo Dosunmu (neck) and Coby White (quad) are all questionable for Chicago, though LaVine is expected to play, so keep an eye on those guys and subsequent line movement.
