Let's Not Forget About The Bucks As NBA Title Contenders

A quiet offseason isn't always a bad thing

The Milwaukee Bucks have the second-best odds to win the NBA title in 2023, but doesn't it seem like they still continue to be an under-the-radar team right now?

Between the Nets' drama, the Warriors' constant spotlight, or the Celtics and their roller coaster offseason, Milwaukee has just sat back quietly, waiting for another season where they can chase a title.

There's no reason to think they can't win another either.

The Bucks feel like the "let's not forget about them" team every year.

I mean, they did just win a title a year ago, and they're +650 on FanDuel to win it again this season, sitting only behind the Celtics (+600). Say what you want about the whole "what could've happened" narrative, but if Khris Middleton had been healthy, they likely would've come out of the East, beating those Celtics in the second round last season. They realistically had a good chance at beating the Warriors in the NBA Finals, too.

A healthy Bucks team could be right back there again in 2023.

As long as you have Giannis Antetokounmpo, you're always in the running for a title. With the second-best odds to win NBA MVP (+700), The Greek Freak has now elevated himself to earning "the best player in the league" status, with little argument. He put the team on his back when Middleton was out during the playoffs, and nearly led the Bucks to a series win over the Celtics.

Milwaukee will always have a shot as long as he's playing at an MVP level.

The quieter offseason for them compared to teams like the Celtics, Sixers and Cavaliers, isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially with the lack of drama. For the most part, they bring back the same roster that won 51 games last year, and even though they lacked a lot of flexibility in the offseason, it wasn't needed given the championship roster they have already.

The NBA is pretty wide open this year, but there's no question the Bucks are a team that should be very much in the conversation once again to win an NBA title.
