See if we think Leeds United can shock the world again and follow up their win against Manchester City with a win against Liverpool. Leeds is making their late season push to see if they can compete for a Europa League position and Liverpool is holding on for dear life to remain towards the top of the table

If you like goals then we have a game for you because Leeds and Liverpool are both light on defense and heavy on offense. This game doesn’t kick off until Monday April 19th at 3pm EST but we are already getting our bets in because we can’t wait for this slugfest. Leeds United is coming off the biggest upset of the year over Manchester City and they will be looking to do it again against a susceptible Liverpool club that has struggled on defense this season.

Leeds United comes into this game riding high after a 2-1 victory over Manchester City. Stuart Dallas was able to put the team on his back and bag two goals including the game winner in extra time. The way that Leeds United plays usually doesn’t translate too well against the top table teams as they are able to make them pay for playing lackluster defense, but this time it worked out for Leeds. Beating Man City is quite the feat this year and we wouldn’t have guessed Leeds would be the team to do it. Leeds only had two shots on target, but they made them both count. They will be looking to play a similar style against Liverpool and attack their defense that has been riddled by injuries all season. Leeds currently sits 10th in the table and surprisingly they have an even goal differential. Before their win against Manchester City, Leeds has wins over Sheffield, Fulham, and a draw against Chelsea. In their past three games Leeds has scored 2 in each game for a total of 6 goals. Liverpool has been giving up goals lately so this could not only be a good chance for an upset pick, but Leeds should be able to keep their scoring streak alive.

Liverpool has been dealing with injuries in their backline and now has to play both their EPL schedule and a grueling Champions League knockout stage schedule. They were happy to get Alexander-Arnold back in the lineup and he was able to score an extra time goal to get a 2-1 win over Aston Villa this weekend. Liverpool has gotten back in form for their EPL schedule, but they haven’t looked like the defending champions that they are and Leeds could easily shock them in this spot. Sitting 6th in the table Liverpool will have to make a late season push if they want to finish in a Champions League slot let alone a spot in the Europa League.

We have a feeling that Liverpool should be able to capitalize on their chances and win this game, and the bookmakers agree as Liverpool is (-148) to win the game. Leeds is a big underdog here at (+360) and we doubt they can string together two huge wins in a row. Where we think there is action on this game is the over. The over/under line currently sits at 3.5 goals with the over at (+120). Hitting the over will be a tough task, but when Leeds is playing really any over is possible. The sportsbook are fairly confident both teams will be able to score as Both Teams to Score – Yes is listed at (-215), so if you are looking for a best bet in this game we would recommend taking Liverpool (-148) and lay the juice, but we would also look to parlay Liverpool & Both Teams to Score – Yes (+180)
