NBA: Pelicans +1 at Wizards

The sharps are riding with the New Orleans Pelicans in tonight's NBA action against the Washington Wizards. A whopping 99% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Pelicans, but just 39% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 1% of the money is on the Wizards, but a large 61% of tickets are backing that side. That means we have a massive 61% "Pro-Money Advantage" on the Pelicans, by taking the percentage of money wagered and subtracting the bet percentage.

Tickets on New Orleans are worth more money overall than those on the Wizards, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move toward the Pelicans here, and I have a feeling it's going to continue going that way. This game opened with the Pelicans at +1.5 underdogs, but that line has moved to just +1. So clearly, some money coming in on the Pelicans. Remember, being "sharp" is all about getting the best number on a game.

New Orleans is on the road, and they have lost four of their last five games. They still have a winning record, but they have to get on track quickly here. They can against a poor Wizards team that is 17-23 on the year. They are back home for the first time in forever, but that doesn't mean they immediately are a good team and should be favored here.

NCAAB: Robert Morris -16.5 vs. IUPUI

College basketball will officially take the screen time away from football after today, and while we are obviously sad to see football coming to an end, we have some exciting buzzer-beaters headed our way. Robert Morris isn't great either, but they are far better than IUPUI, and they have a defense to boot that should be able to totally shut down anything the poor Jaguars try to do on that side.

NHL: Oilers vs. Kings Over 6.5

Let's head over to the ice for the final sharp play of the night. If you don't bet on the NHL, you are missing out. There is some tremendous value in hockey. The sharps are going with the over 6.5 in the Edmonton Oilers vs. Los Angeles Kings game. Edmonton has a terrible defense and some of the worst goaltending in the league, so it isn't shocking people are on the over here. Plus, L.A.'s goaltending problem rears its head some nights, so the offense of the Oilers led by Connor McDavid and Co. could really tee off as well. Neither team has good, consistent goaltending.

As of this writing, 99% of the money is on the lamp to be lit over and over, but just 77% of the total tickets. In comparison, just 1% of the money is liking the light to stay off and for the horns to stay silent, but 23% of tickets are riding with that side here. Obviously, it could go either way, but the sharp bettors are clearly liking over in this game.
