NBA: Jazz -2.5 vs. Kings
The sharps are riding with the Utah Jazz in tonight's NBA action on the hardwood when they take on the visiting Sacramento Kings. A whopping 99% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Jazz, but just 41% of tickets are siding with Utah here. In contrast, just 1% of the money is on the Kings, but 59% of tickets are backing Sacramento to cover. That means we have a huge 59% "Pro-Money Advantage" on the Jazz, by taking the percentage of money wagered and subtracting the bet %.
Tickets on the Jazz are worth more money overall than those on Sacramento, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move towards the Jazz here, and I have a feeling it's going to continue going that way. College basketball will officially take the screen time away from football very soon here, and while we are obviously sad to see football coming to an end, we have some exciting buzzer-beaters headed our way. NHL: Coyotes +285 at Panthers
Switching over to the ice, some of the best value you can find in sports betting is in the NHL. Not many people know that because they don't watch hockey, but it's true in my opinion. Tonight, the sharps are going with the Arizona Coyotes against the Florida Panthers. It's easy to see why, as the Panthers have been perhaps the biggest disappointment in the entire league, and they sit just 5 points ahead of Arizona in the standings. What reason should the Panthers be favored at -345 against any NHL team? They have lost four of their last five games, and all four losses were by more than a goal.
As of this writing, 99% of the money is on the Coyotes to grab the win, but just a small 44% of the total tickets are backing the road dogs. In comparison, just 1% of the money is liking the Panthers at a huge -345 on the ML, but a significant 56% of tickets are riding with them here. Yuck, I couldn't imagine holding a -345 ticket on a team that has been terrible, despite their talent.
