NBA: Pelicans +162 (Caesars) vs. Nets

We'll start things off today with an NBA underdog to consider for tonight. We have a pretty large slate of games to pick from -- 11 to be exact -- and there are a couple of underdogs that I think could be valuable tonight. Ultimately, I think the Pelicans have the best chance to pull off the upset. Brooklyn is coming off of a loss for the first time in a long time, so it's concerning that this could be a bounce-back spot for them, but New Orleans is a good basketball team. Perhaps this number was a bit short at first, but we have already seen money come in on the Pelicans.

The line in this game has moved from +5 to +4 for New Orleans, so support is starting to come their way. It's also sort of puzzling why this line isn't higher, with both Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram listed as "out" for the game.

NCAAB: Saint Peter's +300 (PointsBet) at Siena

I'll be quite honest, this is a terrible NCAAB slate today that doesn't have many exciting games or intriguing options. Saint Peter's is a team that we have all seen and know about after their NCAA tournament run last year. Siena is a good team, but I think this may be a little bit of a stretch for them to be this large of a favorite. The line is starting to come down a bit, and some books have Saint Peter's listed at +7.5.

This is clearly not a "best bet" per se, but I think it is worth a little sprinkle. There really isn't much here to work with on this slate, but the good news is that if you have BetQL, the model will tell you what the best bet is for today. NHL: Coyotes +102 (BetRivers) at Blackhawks

Let's head to the ice for our last pick of the night. There is no way on planet earth I would ever bet the Blackhawks as a favorite in a hockey game. Zero chance. They are the worst team in the NHL by far, and to lay money on them against anyone is a huge mistake. Can they win this game? Sure, but I'm not paying a price for it. Arizona is an underdog to them, and while the Coyotes are quite terrible themselves, they are facing one of the only teams worse than they are.

On top of that, the Blackhawks' best player could be out. Patrick Kane is a Hall of Famer and will be regarded as one of the best hockey players of his generation. While he hasn't been great this season with a rag-tag gang of players around him, he's still been their best player by a mile. Without him, how do they score?
