New England suffered a brutal 20-7 loss in Miami in Week 1 and now have to deal with an ailing Mac Jones. The quarterback is dealing with a back issue and missed practice on Thursday with a non-COVID illness. If he can’t go on Sunday, the Patriots will turn to Brian Hoyer and Bailey Zappe at the position, but if he does, he definitely won’t be at 100%.
Despite their 23-20 win over the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals last week, the Steelers are home underdogs in this matchup, which makes no sense to me. Even with T.J. Watt now on the IR, this Steelers defense is solid and should not have much trouble dealing with the vanilla Patriots offense. I always respect New England’s defense, but I think this Pittsburgh offense has enough weapons to do some damage. If they score a couple touchdowns, that may be all they need.

Lucy Burdge: Steelers +110 vs. Patriots
After the performance the Patriots put together last week, I would pick any team going up against them to get the win. I don’t trust the Patriots and I don’t think they can get it together enough to pull out the win given what we saw from both of these teams in Week 1. And with this being the Steelers’ home opener, I like them to have a huge game and topple the Patriots, with or without Mac Jones.

Brad Pinkerton: Jaguars +165 vs. Colts
In Week 1, Colts fans went from "Matt Ryan is our quarterback!" to "Matt Ryan is our quarterback?!?" as Indy settled for a tie in Houston instead of what should have been an easy win. Sadly, things won't get any easier for Ryan & Co. in Week 2 when the Colts hit the road to face a sneaky Jaguars team that's getting a lot of sharp action this week on the moneyline.
