Titans at Dolphins: TNF Week 14 Betting Preview

The Titans and Dolphins meet on Monday Night Football for an AFC matchup. Miami has won four of its last five games, including three straight, while Tennessee has lost four of its last five and is coming off a loss.

The line for this game opened with the Dolphins as a -11.5 favorite, but with money coming in on the home team, that number has been pushed up to -13.5. The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 8:15 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Getting closing line value (CLV) can be the difference between winning and losing each week, so it is critical to being a long-term winner. Subscribe to BetQL now to get all the info and insights you need to secure that CLV with our best bets like the one below! Sign up for a FREE TRIAL today!

Tennessee Titans Week 14 Outlook

The Titans are coming off a loss to the Colts. Not only did they lose that game, but they lost their best offensive player, Derrick Henry, who was forced out of the game to be evaluated for a concussion. According to head coach Mike Vrabel, Henry is not in concussion protocol and should be able to play this weekend, yet he's currently on the injury report as questionable. That said, this line moving in favor of Miami makes me believe there is a good chance Henry won't take the field on Monday.

If Henry isn't able to go, Tyjae Spears will get the workload in the backfield. He finished with 16 carries for 75 yards in Week 13 with 13 of those touches coming after Henry went out. Unfortunately for Spears and the Titans, the Dolphins run defense is a top-10 unit, allowing opponents just 96.6 rushing rush yards per game.

The Titans' offense will also rely heavily on DeAndre Hopkins, who is coming off his most productive game since Week 8, finishing with 75 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Tennessee is going to struggle to contain the Dolphins high-powered offense. Its secondary just gave up 312 passing yards to Gardner Minshew and Miami QB, Tua Tagovailoa, is significantly better.

Miami Dolphins Week 14 Outlook

The Dolphins are back home after three straight road games and are looking to notch their fourth straight win. Miami's offense has all the necessary weapons to take advantage of Tennessee's defensive weaknesses. Between Tyreek Hill, who had two touchdowns last weekend, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert, the Dolphins can do plenty of damage. Miami leads the league in total yards per game (428.4), passing yards per game (285.1), and is second in rushing yards per game (143.3).

Defensively, the Dolphins' run defense ranks No. 13 in opponents rushing yards per game (106.2) and should be able to slow down the Titans' run game. It's also No. 9 in pass defense and has a dominant secondary to limit anything Will Levis wants to do through the air.

I expect Miami's offense to put up a boatload of points and its defense to hold Tennessee to under two touchdowns.

NFL Expert Picks For Titans at Dolphins

Kate Constable: Dolphins team total o30.5 (-110, DraftKings)

The Titans are 0-6 on the road this year and I don't see any world in which they pull off a big upset over the Dolphins to get their first road win. However, getting 14 points is a lot, so I lean toward Tennessee with the points, but I'm not confident enough in that to put my money on it.

What I am confident in is Miami's ability to shred the Titans' secondary, leading to plenty of scoring opportunities. The Dolphins rank second in the league in points per game (32.0) and they shouldn't have an issue putting up a similar number against Tennessee's defense.

Dan Karpuc: Dolphins -14 (-110, FanDuel)

The Dolphins have been sensational at home this season, going 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS. Notably, they’ve gone 2-1 ATS against double-digit spreads, just like this one. Under Mike McDaniel, Miami has gone 8-1 ATS in a home game where the total is over 45.5 and 6-0 ATS against teams who force 1.0 or fewer turnovers per game on the season. With DeVon Achane back, Miami has a formidable running tandem (Achane and Raheem Mostert) who should produce monster numbers, the leading NFL receiver Tyreek Hill and other weapons like Jaylen Waddle who can take the ball to the house any time he touches it. Tua Tagovailoa and Co. should be able to set the tone and be in control from start to finish.

Lucy Burdge: Dolphins -14 (-110, BetMGM)

The Dolphins (8-4 ATS) have covered the spread in their last two games, while the Titans (5-7 ATS) have failed to cover in four of their last five games. Plus, a BetQL trend favoring the Dolphins is that Mike McDaniel is 8-1 ATS in a home game where the total is greater than or equal to 45.5 while coaching Miami. The Dolphins have covered big spreads against the Giants and Panthers and I see them doing so again here against the Titans.

NFL Player Prop Picks For Titans at Dolphins

Dan Karpuc: Dolphins RBs DeVon Achane ATTD & Raheem Mostert ATTD (+276, DraftKings)

Achane returned to action last week against the Commanders and scored two touchdowns, picking up right where he left off. In six games this season, the rookie has nine total touchdowns and is an absolute machine in this offense. Meanwhile, Mostert has 16 touchdowns in 12 starts and has scored in four of his last five contests heading into this matchup against the Titans. In Mike McDaniel’s offense, these backs can hurt you as runners or pass-catchers and I love the value of backing both of them to find pay dirt, like they have multiple times earlier this season.

Brad Pinkerton: Dolphins LB Andrew Van Ginkel o0.25 sacks (+106, FanDuel)

Van Ginkel is due for a sack, with his last coming way back on Oct. 8, and this is a great spot for him to get at least a half-sack. As 14-point underdogs, the Titans will be facing a pass-heavy game script, allowing the Dolphins to pressure at will, and QB Will Levis is coming off a whopping six sacks against Indy. That explains why this is -120 at DK, so grab the plus-money at FanDuel!
