The Houston Texans are officially in win-now mode.

On Saturday, they essentially compromised their future by trading for Miami Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Kenny Stills.

They sent two 1st round picks, a 2nd rounder and two reserves to make the deal happen.

They also traded for running back Carlos Hyde, who will likely assume some kind of role in the backfield now that Lamar Miller (ACL) will miss the season.

So much for the Duke Johnson Jr. bell cow experiment.

Tunsil’s addition provides some much-needed elite protection for Deshaun Watson, Stills provides some necessary and quality depth at wide receiver and Hyde should see some work on running downs.

The Texans (+7) open the season as road underdogs against the New Orleans Saints. They’ll play in the early Monday Night Football game.
