Matt Horner: Saints +3 at Titans

An underdog I like this week is the New Orleans Saints on the road in Tennessee. New Orleans has quietly put together a solid season behind a very strong defense that plays hard and is great against the run. Tennessee is at its best when it can run the ball with ease, and that won’t be the case here against the Saints. Meanwhile, the Tennessee defense is not good, and they struggle against good rushing attacks like New Orleans. Even with Alvin Kamara (knee) out and Mark Ingram leading the backfield, I expect the Saints to have a strong day on the ground. The Saints are also 3-0 ATS as an underdog this season, and they always seem to do well in these spots. CLICK HERE to read more about why the Saints are a solid underdog pick.

Nick Ashooh: Buccaneers -9.5 at Washington

If this was Tampa -15, I’d take it. Okay, maybe there’s the emotional side of this I try to separate, but my local team in Washington is a mess, and continues to trend in the wrong direction. Bruce Arians is 14-2 SU when playing against a team with a losing record while coaching Tampa Bay, and Washington certainly fits the mold there at 2-6. Washington is also just 1-7 ATS so you should feel comfortable taking a Tampa cover here.

Lucy Burdge: Patriots -2.5 vs. Browns

Mac Jones is a wanted man now and I think he’s going to play like it. He has the confidence of knowing he’s the bad boy rookie of the NFL right now so he could really show out in this one. The Patriots are also finally back at home after being on the road and they’ll keep that momentum from those road wins going on Sunday.

Brad Pinkerton: Panthers +10.5 at Cardinals

Given that I’m from Charlotte, this seems like a total desperate homer pick, but BetQL has been on a roll calling huge NFL upsets lately. See: Dolphins +8.5 vs. Baltimore on Thursday (a five-star bet), and last week with Broncos +10 at Dallas (five stars) and Jaguars +14.5 vs. Buffalo (four stars). I’m not saying the Panthers will pull the upset, but I’ll trust the model and take 10.5 points.

Dan Karpuc: Steelers -8 vs. Lions

The Pittsburgh Steelers have gone 12-1 ATS as a home favorite by 7.5 to 10 points under Mike Tomlin. Pittsburgh is an 8-point home favorite over the winless Detroit Lions this week. As one of the best coaches in the NFL, Tomlin makes sure that his team comes to play and takes care of business when they should… and they definitely should do that this week.
