Staff Picks For Super Bowl LIX Gatorade Bath Color

BetMGM listed odds for this novelty prop market - let's see what our staff is on!

Super Bowl bets on the game itself are, of course, fun. But the Big Game also offers the unique opportunity to bet on a PLETHORA of novelty props.

This includes odds on the color of the Gatorade bath given to the head coach of the winning team by his players.

You KNOW we have picks and opinions on this matter right here for you.

Dan Karpuc: Clear/Water (+900, BetMGM)

The Chiefs are trying to make history with their third consecutive Super Bowl win and what better way to celebrate than by dumping Gatorade’s brand-new flavor Lightning Blast, which is a limited edition formula that was just made permanent? With a blackberry raspberry flavor and cloudy white/clear appearance, this would meet the criteria and we also get the option of water if someone grabs the wrong bucket to dump! Oh, and apparently they also have Gatorade water, so that could be another option.

Lucy Burdge: Purple (+250, BetMGM)

Purple has been the color of the Gatorade for the past two Super Bowls, both of which were won by the Chiefs. While blue is the best Gatorade color, the Chiefs have opted for purple for some reason and if they are superstitious, they’ll likely be drinking purple again. So if you think the Chiefs will win this game, purple is the way to go.

Matt Horner: Yellow (+300, BetMGM)

The Super Bowl is lined as a toss up, and Lucy is right, the Chiefs have used purple the last two years they have won the Super Bowl. However, what if the Eagles actually win the game? If they do, I think they will have yellow as their color of choice, which is the classic color. When they defeated the Commanders in the NFC Championship, they poured yellow Gatorade on Nick Sirianni this past weekend. They also used this color when they lost to the Chiefs in 2023, so it seems pretty likely to me that they will use lime in this game.

Kate Constable: Purple (+250, BetMGM)

I’m not going to overthink this. The Chiefs have had purple Gatorade in their last two Super Bowl wins. If anyone on Kansas City is superstitious, why would they steer away from what’s worked so far? We know athletes are creatures of habit, which is why I expect the Chiefs to douse Andy Reid in purple Gatorade after they win their third-straight Super Bowl.
