As a team, the Seahawks are averaging 29 points per game, which is top-10 in the NFL right now. The offense is dynamic, led by superstar QB Russell Wilson. He has a pair of star wide receivers in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, and Lockett is currently sitting at No. 2 in the NFL with 278 receiving yards.
Those Vikings corners are about to be burnt toast soon. Especially when you consider that the Vikings are currently a bottom-10 unit in total defense, passing defense, scoring defense and yards per pass attempt allowed, there is every reason to think Seattle will score points and rack up the yardage.
Seattle has also only turned the ball over once in two games, and their offense is humming on all cylinders.
Despite all of the backlash that he and the Vikings get on a daily basis, Kirk Cousins is a top-10 player in passing yards (595), completion rate (71.6 percent) and passer rating (112.9) this season, with a top-five mark in passing touchdowns (five) and no interceptions.
So if Cousins is playing so well, how come the Vikings are 0-2 and spiraling really fast towards irrelevancy? Well, it is because of a defense that is among the worst in every major category in football. I thought head coach Mike Zimmer was supposed to be a defensive guru, but he has failed to build the Vikings defense back to where it once was.
The positive side is that the offense, as stated before, has been good. And now they get to face the Seahawks. Seattle's defense has allowed the most first downs in the NFL this season with 56 given up already in two games. With weaknesses throughout, Minnesota's offense should keep rolling against a poor Seahawk secondary.
It is no wonder this total has skyrocketed, I don't think either defense could stop Micheal Scott at the Dunder-Mifflin pick-up basketball game. Points will be scored here.
