I think Smith is in for a huge game against the 49ers after last week's six-catch, 61-yard performance (with a score) against the Giants. Not only is A.J. Brown (hip) still a little banged-up, which should give Smith a few extra targets, but the 49ers' only real weakness on defense is against wideouts, ranking among the top 10 in most receptions, yards and touchdowns allowed to WRs during the regular season. I'll also look at over 5.5 receptions (+130 at DraftKings) and an anytime TD (+190 at FanDuel).
A.J. Brown will likely get dismissed by box-score watchers after he was banged up in Philly’s 38-7 win over the Giants last week when he caught just three of six targets for 22 yards. But BetQL is projecting Brown to rack up 80 receiving yards as a key part of Philly's game plan in what should be a tight NFC championship game. Not only are the 49ers an elite rushing defense that could limit the Eagles’ upside on the ground and lead to more targets for Brown, but the go-to receiver got over this number nine times in the regular season, including five performances of 100-plus yards. CeeDee Lamb caught 10 passes for 117 yards against the Niners last week, and there’s no reason why Brown can’t put up similar numbers if healthy.
Watkins barely played at all last week against the Giants and didn’t record a single catch, and that was with A.J. Brown slightly hobbled. In fact, Watkins hasn’t reached this number since Dec. 24 against the Cowboys, and that was one catch for 19 yards. He hasn’t been a real part of the offense since mid-season, making this under very attractive.
Purdy has hit this over on passing touchdowns in seven of his last eight games, and threw for three touchdowns in two of his last three games, so I think he can go over this number against the Eagles in the NFC championship.
