Week 8 NFL Best Bets

Dan Karpuc: Tom Brady Over 249.5 Pass Yards & Lamar Jackson Over 49.5 Rush Yards (+110 Super Boost, Caesars)
BetQL is projecting Tom Brady to throw for 310 yards tonight and he’s gotten over this 249.5-yard mark in four of his last five games. With Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and a number of other playmakers at his disposal in the passing game, I expect TB12 to come out firing after getting thoroughly embarrassed against the Panthers on Sunday. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson has recorded over 49.5 rushing yards in six consecutive games and the sense of urgency will be there for the Ravens, who need this win even more than the Bucs do based on the current division standings. As seen numerous times, Jackson has the ability to rip off huge runs, so that creates a nice bit of safety when it comes to that leg of this odds boost at Caesars.

Lucy Burdge: Tom Brady Over 1.5 Passing TDs
No matter how the Buccaneers defense plays in this game, I think Tom Brady is going to do everything he can to win this game, so I see him going over this passing touchdowns total. He last hit this over against the Chiefs with three touchdowns in Week 4, but after losing the last two games and four of the last five, I’m sure Brady is going to put a stop to the losing and get this team back on the right track. It’s "Go Time" now and I see Brady hitting this over on the stage of Thursday Night Football against the Ravens.

Brad Pinkerton: Lamar Jackson Under 213.5 passing yards

Not only do the Bucs have a solid pass D, allowing just 190.0 passing yards per game (sixth-fewest), but Jackson could be without his main receiving weapons in TE Mark Andrews (knee) and/or WR Rashod Bateman (foot), who are both questionable for TNF. Even if active, they could be less than 100% in a tough matchup. Plus, Jackson has topped this passing total just twice all season, and not once in the last four games. It seems unlikely that he'd hit the over against a stingy Bucs pass D in what should be a relatively low-scoring game with both teams combining to go 3-11 O/U so far this season. I'd also look at L-Jax going under 1.5 passing TDs, which could be another nice leg if you're taking advantage of FanDuel's No Sweat Same-Game Parlay promo for TNF.
